Hi, I'm Matt. Welcome to my little slice of the web. Originally, I was working on a webcomic about an engineer who designed robots to conquer the world. Curiously, all of the robots were inherently altruistic and would engage in public works projects if left unsupervised. It would have been delicious thematic irony.
For artistic dischord, I was going to draw the characters poorly as stick figures and billboard them into photorealistic environments. The only way to accomplish this was to write a custom raytracer—a 14 month diversion. Sketching would have been done using a custom synthetic brush drawing program… or maybe just deliver the content in embedded 3d vignettes? Or what about just "explorable" vector graphics…
After realizing I was more interested in graphics programming instead of the content delivered therein, I discarded the webcomic idea entirely and rendered the site in its current incarnation.
As for the domain name, it's the name of the main character—I could only draw him either screaming or staring disapprovingly (probably because his latest creations were painting buildings instead of destroying them with powerful eyeball lasers). The domain doesn't fit the current content, but there was a sale, and I registered it for something like eleventy-billion years. It's not going to change.
To summarize, this site's content is dictated by pure whimsy and is forever named after a character I've not had time to create.
Enjoy.
